LORD, I CAN DO NOTHING ON MY OWN. WHY AM I ALWAYS TRYING TO TAKE CONTROL OF MY LIFE, WHEN CLEARLY I AM NO GOOD AT DOING THINGS ON MY OWN? HELP ME TO TRUST YOU ABOVE ALL ELSE KNOWING THAT YOUR WILL IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN MINE. CALM MY ANXIOUS HEART, HELP ME TO WAIT PATIENTLY ON YOU AND REST IN THE PEACE THAT ONLY YOU CAN BRING. THANK YOU FATHER THAT I AM YOUR CHILD THAT YOU LOVE AND TAKE CARE OF. HELP ME TO REMEMBER THAT I DO NOT NEED TO FEAR OR WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING, BECAUSE NOTHING IS OUT OF YOUR HANDS.

Is. 30:18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!

Baby Coen Reeve

Hey ppl!

So my cousin Mel had her second baby Sunday morning just after 1 am! I'm so excited!! She was in labor only 2 hours! She didn't even break a sweat! lol His name is Coen Reeve and is 6 lb 10 oz 20 in long! He is healthy and so beautiful...just a tiny little peanut. My new favorite thing is holding him and watching him sleep. Lord thank you for my newest "nephew". Thank you that you brought him into this world safely and that you kept Mel safe and healthy. Thank you Father for the blessings of family.

Oh Happy 4th of July! What a wonderful day it was! Our whole neighborhood was lit up with fireworks last night, much to my joy and excitement. The neighbors really went all out this year. We even set off a few of our own and praise the Lord no one got hurt. :) It was so beautiful!

Have a wonderful week! Later!

WHITE WATER RAFTING

HEY EVERONE!

I MUST SHARE MY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WHITE WATER RAFTING. I WENT WITH MY AUNT AND UNCLE AND 3 OF MY COUSINS; WE RAFTED IN WEST VIRGINA ON THE NEW RIVER. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I THOUGH THAT IT WOULD BE SCARY B/C WE WENT ON THE CLASS FIVES, THE HIGHEST SAFEST CLASS OF RAPIDS. BUT IT WASN'T REALLY SCARY, JUST EXCITING! WE WERE ON THE RIVER FOR ABOUT 5 HRS. NONE OF US EVER FELL OUT OF THE RAFT! ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE IN OUR GROUP OF 4 RAFTS FELL OUT. WE EVEN LAUNCHED OUR RIVER GUIDE...HAHA. SHE FLEW OVER OUR HEADS INTO THE WATER; IT WAS REALLY FUNNY. WE GOT TO GET OUT OF THE RAFT AND SWIM SOME OF THE SMALLER RAPIDS. WE ALSO GOT TO CLIMB UP A HUGE ROCK AND THEN JUMP OFF IT. THERE WAS ONE SPOT WHERE WE GOT TO GET OUT OF THE RAFT AND FLOAT TOWARD A LARGE ROCK IN THE WATER; WHEN WE REACHED IT WE HAD TO WORK OUR WAY TO THE RIGHT OF IT WHERE THERE WAS A HYDROLIC, AKA- SWIRLING VORTEX OF DOOM. ONCE YOU GOT NEAR THE ROCK IT SUCKED YOUR TOWARD IT. I WAS FLOATING BEHIND MY COUSIN DEBBIE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I WAS SUCKED UNDER, SPUN AROUND, AND POPPED OUT IN FRONT OF DEBBIE. IT WAS SWEET! I WOULD DEFINITELY DO IT AGAIN. ACTUALLY, SOME US MAY GO BACK IN THE FALL WHEN THEY RELEASE THE DAM B/C THE RAPIDS WILL BE MUCH BIGGER.

THE CAMPGROUND WE STAYED AT WAS REALLY COOL. THERE WAS A LAKE W/ A LOT OF WATER TOYS INCLUDING A BLOB, A ZIP LINE, AND A HUGE SLIDE. WE REALLY ENJOYED THE BLOB. ME, AARON, AND DEBBIE ALL JUMPED OFF AND CATAPULTED 95 LB ANNA. SHE FLEW VERY HIGH IN THE AIR. IT WAS GREAT. THEN ME, AARON, AND ANNA TRIED TO LAUNCH DEBBIE BUT OUR WEIGHT TIPPED THE TOWER AND US AND THE TOWER FELL ON THE BLOB. HAHAHA. I ONLY GOT ONE INJ THE WHOLE VACATION...I FELL DOWN THE BACK OF THE TOWER TO THE BLOB AND LANDED ON A ROPE...I HAVE A HUGE BRUISE ON THE BACK OF MY LEG...IT WAS REALLY UGLY. IT'S FINALLY STARTING TO FADE. WE WERE SUPPOSE TO LEAVE LAST THURSDAY, BUT THE VAN BROKE DOWN, SO WE HAD TO STAY UNTIL FRIDAY. BUT WE WERE ABLE TO GO HORSEBACK RIDING FRIDAY MORNING. SO I HAD A WONDERFUL VACATION AND CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK. THANK YOU LORD FOR THE WONDERFUL AND SAFE VACATION YOU BLESSED ME WITH. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE BEAUTY I WAS ABLE TO ENJOY, YOU ARE AMAZING!

SPEAKING OF GOD'S AMAZING BEAUTY, WHAT AN AWESOME STORM LAST NIGHT! I LOVE THUNDERSTORMS...AND A TORNADO WARNING TOO! WE JUST STOOD OUTSIDE AND WATCHED THE STORM UNTIL MY AUNT MADE US COME IN CUZ SHE WAS AFRAID WE WOULD BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. AARON OF COURSE WENT OUT DRIVING IN THE STORM LOOKING FOR FUNNEL CLOUDS. IT TOOK HIM FOREVER TO GET HOME CUZ HE COULDN'T FIND A STREET THAT WASN'T FLOODED. HAHA. AFTER THE FIRST STORM WE WERE GETTING READY TO GO RIDE OUR BIKES OUT IN THE PUDDLES BUT MY AUNT ONCE AGAIN FREAKED OUT B/C THE 2ND STORM WAS ABOUT TO COME THROUGH. WE HAD TO SEND THE KIDS TO THE BASEMENT DURING THE TORNADO WARNING BUT THE REST OF US STAYED UPSTAIRS AND WATCHED THE LIGHTNING SHOW. VERY COOL. THANK YOU LORD FOR THE SPECTACULAR DISPLAY OF YOUR POWER. THANK YOU THAT NO ONE WAS INJURED AND YOU PROTECTED US FROM FLOODING, FALLING TREES, AND HAIL. ONCE AGAIN LORD I STAND IN AWE OF YOUR AMAZING POWER!

PEACE OUT YA'LL! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND AHEAD!

My wonderful car

Lord, I just want to thank you that I have a car that works almost all the time. Thank you that it is paid off, and that it has not suffered any serious accidents.

So my car is on the fritz. It has like 92,000 miles on it so this is to be expected. First, there is a service engine soon light that will not go off because it was put on by the dealership so that at a certain mileage I would have to take it in to a dealer to have the light taken off. This light has been on for a couple of months. On the first hot hot day of the season I realized my AC did not work. So I had to have that charged up, which I later found out could have been done for much cheaper or possibly for free. But that was ok cuz it wasn't too expensive. Then this past Friday night I got home and went to park in the driveway, but b/c my cousin was parked stupidly I was halfway in the road. So I turned off my car so I could go get his keys and move his car up. When I went to then move my car up, it would not start. Awesome. So my card stayed w/ it's butt in the road all night. But then my cousin was able to move it Saturday morning. I thought maybe it was the battery so I drove my car to the battery store with my aunt. On the way to the stoer, my car was chugging and all my dashboard lights were flickering, but thank God my car made it. As it turns out, my car actually needed an alternator. Apparently, Grand Ams are known for needing new alternators. And I still need new struts and mounts and an oil change. And on top of all that, last night my youngest cousin was riding her bike in the driveway and she smoked the outside driver's side mirror of my car and broke it. It was hanging there only by the wires. Thinking back on it now it kinda makes me laugh. She is fine and her bike is fine, but my mirror was anihilated. So we ordered the part and are going to try to fix it tonight b/c apparently the auto store does not repair it, only orders the parts. But don't worry, it comes in a fix-it-yourself package. lol....this will be fun.

Lord, I'm not sure what you are trying to teach me through all this but I trust in Your mighty ways and I know that you are in control. Thank you Lord that you are my provider.

My lovely weekend

So I had a wonderful weekend! Yeah it's Wednesday but I feel like its Tuesday. I totally think I should have every Monday off. It's just great! I went home this weekend and hung out with my girls Friday night. I had much fun, but I'm going to miss you Lisa!! Then Saturday morning my mom and I went golfing. That was a hoot. I haven't golfed since like last summer, but I didn't do too bad. We didn't keep score though. :) Funniest thing though, my mom hit the ball and it landed on the green, somebody else's green. And there were people on the green! And then she yelled fore after the ball landed! I was cracking up. But don't worry, no one got hurt.

So my uncle opened the pool on Saturday...hooray! As is tradition, we jumped in after it was opened and cleaned. Oh my lands! It was freezing. I think the temperature was like mid 60s when we jumped in. It was so cold I could barely pull myself out of the pool. And then the boys kept pushing me back in the pool. Sunday I cleaned my car finally. I hadn't washed it since last fall, it was really dirty. And then we just sat around playing cards in the air conditioning because it was wicked hot outside. By Monday the pool was almost 70 degrees. We laid out in the sun because it was beautiful, and then went swimming. I love swimming. We had a cookout later that night at Chris's house. Oh! His parents have wolves as pets. Seriously, well the male is 90% wolf, the female is 60% wolf, and then they had a baby. But the male really looks like a wolf just bigger. And they howl. It was sweet. The male growls when you hug it because it's how it shows affection, but it sounded really scary. These dogs were huge, but cool.3

Thank you Lord for a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Thank you for the sunshine and also for the rain. Thank you for the good times with friends and family and the opportunity to worship in all things.
